Lynne Young
Founder
Lynne is a bilateral Breast Cancer survivor and the founder of Catch The Promise. As a result of Lynne’s cancer experiences, she is passionate about empowering those in the community. She stresses the importance of early detection, which saves lives. Lynne is the author of a song called “I Promise” and a documentary titled “I Promise – The Lynne Young Story”. These were created to inspire and encourage others who may experience many of life’s challenges.

Sheila Thomas

As a 20-year military veteran, Sheila has honed her skills in leadership, problem-solving, and strategic planning. Leveraging her extensive experience, Sheila is dedicated to helping Catch The Promise thrive by bringing a unique perspective and continuously striving for efficiency and productivity.
Junius Thomas, Ph.D.
Board of Director
Dr. Junius Eugene Thomas II earned his PhD in Chemical Biology from the University of Michigan in 2023. His research centered around developing and evaluating innovative PROTAC degraders to target the CBP/p300 proteins for the treatment of Prostate cancer and leukemia. He made significant contributions to the field as a co-author of a review paper, which discussed the use of PROTAC degraders and small molecule cancer therapeutics that target the estrogen receptor for Breast Cancer treatment. Dr. Thomas' work demonstrates his expertise in chemical biology and his dedication to advancing cancer therapeutics.
Javalle McAllister

Javalle is a proud 8.5-year military veteran and a Breast Cancer survivor. Through her journey, she has faced challenges with unwavering strength and determination. As a survivor, she is passionate about advocating for young women and men affected by Breast Cancer and spreading awareness. Her goal is to inspire others to never give up and provide support to those going through similar struggles.
